Jenin residents search for bodies; 2 soldiers hurt in Bethlehem

After reports that hospital staff from Jenin and Red Cross workers had stopped searching for bodies in the Jenin refugee camp, Palestinian sources told Ha'aretz in the early afternoon that residents of the camp were continuing to recover bodies by themselves.

They said that the IDF was making their work difficult and was not allowing equipment that will make it possible to recover bodies from the rubble to be brought to the camp.

A young injured Palestinian was found but an ambulence was not allowed to evacuate him from the camp. Residents were sitting next to their demolished homes and recounting names of relatives whose whereabouts were unknown. Gunfire and explosions were sometimes heard but residents said that this is the IDF as there is no Palestinian resistance.
